A Thousand Wordsworth

Blame Susan, in the comments to "A Kitten Quandry." If she hadn't mentioned it, you can bet the next bubble that I wouldn't have heard of it, looked for it, or made it available here.

Also bet that I haven't looked at it yet, & may never. I can tell you that cokehead Kudlow goes to Ms. McArdle for the opening; if you want to see & hear, you can get a glimpse & bail before the other wankers (from the American Enterprise Institute & the usual suspects) start, & before the application of knitting needles to eye-balls & ear-drums seems a viable alternative to continued viewing & listening.

Commenters please note: This site does not discriminate on the basis of physical appearance. Please avoid any comments about how odd/butchy anyone looks (Has she given up already now that she's latched onto a husband? Or did the make-up person tell her she'd look good that way? Dirty filthy creative types: They're all unionized socialists!) the color of anyone's lipstick, & Kudlow's elitist white collar & cuffs & flag lapel pin (Is he so fucking stupid/brain-damaged by the blow he no longer even knows which fucking country he's in, for tax evasion purposes?). Thank you.

After that exclusion list, the only thing left to do would be to listen to the video, which I believe is a violation of the Eighth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

I don't think she looks that bad, though why any woman would deliberately choose to flush her complexion out by putting on a neutral shade of lipstick is beyond me. She would have looked better if she didn't wear any at all. I know dressing down is essential for a woman when she wants to be taken seriously on an intellectual level, but you don't have to make yourself completely drab either. Megan's quite pretty; it's probably a part of why she's gotten where she is. She should work it more.

That being said, shorter Megan: huge amounts of debt are bad and if ours continues to grow, we won't be able to buy stuff. Cracking insight.

Clever pseud pre-empted me (again). MM's dressing-down is self-defeating. She's not (physically) unattractive, so why not, as Zero Mostel said, FLAUNT IT, BABY.

Unless she thinks this severe, no-glam look makes her look serious and professional. That's sad.

When you torture your hair and use mime-worthy makeup just to impress the grown-ups, the terrorists win.

At least she compared California and New York to France. I have been very very concerned™ about this.

I think she looks a lot better than she has in all of the other videos of which we've taken a peek. Almost normal. Given my level of bias, I'm guessing anyone else would say she did look normal.

Oh, also, who is this M. Bouffant character :) Welcome back. We've been suffering heavy losses since you went AWOL.

Just been so disgusted, & unable to deal w/ MM on an econ basis. Plus illin' for a couple wks.

(Cold. Any ache, or a slight fever, & we we were sure it was H1N1.)

But can we make fun of the ridiculous mall rat speech patterns in her opening moments? She loses it after a minute or so, but get a load of those question mark inflections at the end of every sentence.

Good ear, Mark. Noticed myself, but why pile on & deprive others of fun?

Not sure I've ever heard her "Valley Girl" (dating myself, it's "mall rat" now, right?) that pronouncedly before.
