But didn't you pull a punch with the tag? I expected "Fuck the troops." Because at this point in the timeline, aren't we past the point where anyone can get away with, "I don't support the war, but I do support our troops"?
Man, I forgot about that tag.
I don't support the wars, but I support the troops, whatever that means. I'm paying their salaries and helping to put them through college. I'm also on the hook for my share of their retirement and medical expenses. That counts as support as far as I'm concerned.
Not me. The troops are old enough to be out on their own. The 3rd Amendment was specifically so I would not have to support them anymore and they'd be forced to go get a job and support themselves.
