I searched for a regular "Music Thursday" feature (or bug) at A. I., to be sure Mlle. Megan wasn't being tongue in cheek titling her 18 December (yesterday, Tuesday) item as "Music Thursday." There wasn't, she wasn't. The only possible conclusion: Megan doesn't know what fucking day it is.

I know that when I want to discover a new (well, new to me, anyway) band, the first person I'd turn to for advice is always the nearest economics blogger.
Maybe that is due to proverbial recrementitious imbidement ingurgitated in a neighbourhood drinkery the evening anterior?
(See? that's all you have to do to write like Megan McArdle. Type out a normal sentence that is short and to the point, in this case "maybe she has a hangover," look up all of the regular words in a thesaurus and replace them with archaic words you won't read anywhere else, then re-work the spelling into British where necessary. Viola! [can't leave out the Frenchness to show how sophisticated I am])
