The government can't fix society for the same reason that you can't remove your own appendix.This doesn't even rhyme. Gyp.
At least, however, it can be parsed. That's not always the case.
As for the sentiment, this clearly means Megan wants the UN to temporarily take control of the US and its government and fix our society. Cuz, while I can't remove my appendix, a doctor can, meaning in this little epigram what's needed is an authority that's outside and above the gov't. Unless Megan has found Jebus, that sounds like the UN. I always figured Megan would be against a New World Order. Guess I was wrong.
Oh, and hands up, everyone who'd like to rely on the free market to get an inflamed appendix out of you before it bursts.
