I'm Sorry, I Wasn't Paying Attention

What?

Ok, look, I think I speak for all of us when I say that we aren't being paid enough to read that fucking noise. Most likely, we CANNOT be paid that much; as in there is not enough currency, hot women, drugs, fast cars and whatever the hell else we like, to get us to read that shit. For fuck's sake, she has a list of "philosophic principles" that's over a page long.

DO NOT WANT.

Maybe I'll just say that I've never read that post in English...

brad adds:

Oh, no.
I hadn't seen that post yet.
I'm going to have to do something with it, fuck me.

Toast Consoles:
There there. There there.

If I remember Modern Philosophy 101correctly, in the "Leviathan" Thomas Hobbes gives a similar list of bullet-pointed philosophical aphorisms explaining his overall philosphy, then he goes on to make his main point, or points, about politics and society. In one of them he defined "memory" as "fading sense." Made me think for a minute. Maybe that's MM's muse here, no one of course can tell given how obtuse she's being. Will anyone actually read Megan's entire bloviated post? Sorry, not me.

I love how the sentence, "Let me close with two thoughts," is followed by nine paragraphs.

And no, I didn't bother to read the whole thing. I didn't even really skim it. I just scrolled down the page reading random sentences, which I found is a really fun way to read her epic ramblings. It's like having dinner with somebody who won't shut up and you just kind of tune in for a few seconds here and there. Every now and then (or frequently with McCardle) you catch a glaring contradiction or some other remarkable idiocy that makes you choke on your food for moment.

Without looking, I'm guessing it's yet another attempt of McMegan's to respond to John Holbo.

Does that help?
