Just a reminder

we haven't gone dark or lost our sense of purpose. Megan is sick, which means she gets to take 5 day weekends for the time being, and post sporadically the rest of the week. If she's so ill she should be seeing a doctor or in the hospital, I hope she gets better, but otherwise goddamn, she's overindulged.
On one hand I'm glad she's not posting and that we have so little to work with, but on the other hand it's annoying to see a rugged individualist put so little effort in. All Megan has to do to show up to work is type on a laptop. It's starting to seem as if she's trying to dodge having to write about the crises her belief systems have helped to create and admit her utter lack of a clue of what to do about it, except to weakly argue against reregulation of the banking industry because it'd be icky. But I'm being too cynical, I'm sure. She's just very sick.

Or even better, perhaps the current crisis finally revealed her to the Atlantic's editors to be the clueless, spoiled moron that she is and they sacked her for it. In which case, your work here would be done!

She has a post up now saying that Bernanke is giving banks money but they won't spend it. Anyone who isn't in a coma knows that. Perhaps tomorrow she'll tell us again that the credit market is frozen and the banks need to start lending money.

Meh, she's just phoning it in now.

She doesn't even reach the level of "phoning it in." She's just muttering to herself and flailing wildly.

I wonder if she makes so many editing errors because she posts from her blackberry while standing in line at a store or restaurant.

It would explain a lot.

In her possible defense, I'm just getting over a "cold" that had me discombobulated for five days. If she has that, I don't blame her for not working.

End of possible defense.

It's tough love, mr. wonderful. We just want her to apply herself, or she'll never get into the college of her choice.

She sure looks and sounds fine on blogging heads and Reason magazine's webisode. Maybe she's trying to get fired to go on unemployment for for a few months. Didn't Ms. Libertarian come out in favor (in one of her many, many recent posts)of extending unemployment benefits as a stimulus measure?
