Looks like someone pissed someone else off with her review of Bruno.
That's the right link, but it won't get you anywhere. Still shows up in searches of Teh Atlantic Voices in Their Heads, though.
How many professional lapses does it take to get the tootsie roll center of a pink slip? Megan McArdle may never know.

Update:
Susan in comments here informs us of this from comments over there:
Megan McArdle (Replying to: Nimed) July 9, 2009 11:27 AMI accidentally violated one of the most basic rules of the profession I purport to represent. My bad.
I accidentally violated the embargo. It will be back up this evening.

Speaking of pundits, have you seen this list of the Most Influential Print/Online Columnists?
I know people here are going to howl about Krugman. Personally, I find numbers 2 and 4 very depressing. I don't mind Dowd because I don't think she is a true opinion maker. People read her because she's good fun (although I think Gail Collins is way funnier).
By the way, what happened to the post with the Ali G video?

How do you "accidentally" sit down, write a 500 word post, edit it for spelling, grammatical and style errors (this step is probably skipped with Megan), then hit "publish" so that it appears on what is supposed to be a professional-grade site before the time you've been told in advance that you are allowed to publicly review the film?
With Megan, her blatant mistakes due to incompetence or laziness are never her fault. They're always due to bureaucratic glitches, other people "misunderstanding" her, or an accident beyond her control.
*facepalm*
Sweet Jesus. I mean I suspected that her incompetence would be to blame, but 'accidentally clicked the wrong button' was what I had in mind. Not a major snafu like this one.
Which brings me to this thought: there are people over at the Atlantic who actually have to work WITH her.
Scarier thought - there are people at the Atlantic that are PAYING her for this.
