I Think She Tried To Write This One For Us

*still giggling*

The Singular of Data is Anecdote:

If it's a recession when your neighbor loses his job, and a depression when you lose yours, the depression just ended for the McArdle-Suderman household. Peter has accepted a Koch fellowship* to work at Reason for the next eleven months, and today's his first day.

Oddly, the stock market does not seem to have gotten the message that the depression is over. So I thought this blog post might help.

* Yes, that Koch. No, I had no idea when I wrote about them that he would be applying for a fellowship. We both thought he'd have a job by now. But journalism seems second only to auto manufacturing in job losses during this recession; by our count, about 20% of our friends have lost jobs in the last six months.
and I'm still giggling too hard to even respond.

It was either that, or admit that she got schooled by Ezra.

I don't think I've ever seen her admit she was wrong, even when presented with copious evidence, multiple times.

Calling her boyfriend a journalist is ridiculous. He's a political hack. That's part of what makes them such a great couple. He writes the party line, and she makes pancakes for the party gatherings of like minded small brains.

So, this is essentially Megan's post:

"My boyfriend landed a fellowship."

Just when you think she couldn't gaze any deeper into her own navel, she comes up with this stuff. Megan - NOBODY. FUCKING. CARES.

Hey, the recession has hit the McArdle household hard. They are only getting an extra Kindle after being sure that they can transfer their digital libraries from their IPods.

Libertarian welfare once again comes through for the McArdle household.

whats funny is that these folks probably think they have integrity - ironically - just because they can't hack it to make the real money like their B scholl buddies.

Our Lady of teh Gadgets:

"I'm a total supporter of hard DRM."

What a surprise.

I'd like to see a serious libertarian (not corporatist) defense of hard DRM. But the difference between libertarian and corporatist has not been clear to me since high school.

The outright deception of her healthcare posts is new. We're used to clueless in all its forms, but the deliberate faking, with all her
"I'm so clever, they'll never notice delusion" isn't her regular style.

It may have something to do with Peter's new post, which would be sad. Megan should end in incompetence, not inept corruption.

Her slip is showing. She really tried to distance herself from 'Koch-Related-Program-Activities' the first time this whole business came up with La Suderman. But, in the end, it's just about the wingnut welfare gravy train.

Peter a journalist? Oh it is to laugh. And man, for B-School grads, they do suck at career planning.
