The Glibertarian Philosophy in a Nutshell

From today's L. A. Times, I thought I'd share this nugget of free market love w/ all.

McCain's amnesia should be construed as a positive political gaffe; the more homes he owns, the better. His message to every American voter is that like him, they can all achieve the American dream through the time-tested habits of focus, hard work and perseverance (and helped by positive government policies that he proposes, like minimal taxation to stimulate investment and jobs.)

Unfortunately, many with socialist inclinations in the opposing camp have not learned the lessons of failed socialism elsewhere.

Military & "Public" Service career?
Family connections.

Dumping your first wife 'cause she shrank while you were away?
Legal costs, filing fees, child-support, alimony.

Marrying a bottle-blond beer baroness 18 yrs. your junior, who owns a corporate jet?
Priceless.

Where do you draw the line between stupid and delusional? Where do you draw the line between "faith" and "wishful thinking"? Where do you draw the line between "subjective interpretation" and "fucking insane"?

The answer, my friends, is blowin' in the wind, my friends.

It's hilarious that he's from La Canada, too. If you'd ever been there, you would find that hilarious.

anon: I've been in WeHo, Silver Lake & Hollywood for the last thirty-five yrs. (Now that I'm homeless, I hang in Santa Monica, of course.) I know what La Cañada-Flintridge is all about. Didn't want to bore the masses w/ local trivia.

You could click my name on the FMM contributors list & look at my somewhat localized effort, Just Another Blog (From L. A.)™, if you give a flying fug. Or not.

So for those of us who have only spent enough time in Los Angeles to change planes, what is La Canada like?
