Two things

For what it's worth, I've now seen screenshots of the RSS feed which show the word "largely" to be present in the post that is under discussion, which is more or less enough for me to say it probably didn't happen. It didn't seem like her style, I'll admit.

But how, you ask, did I get those screenshots?

Well,

Megan emailed them to me.

When she invites me to sit with her and Tyler at lunch, I'm turning this blog off.
Or if she introduces me to The Garance.
Or Ann Althouse.
Especially Ann Althouse.

Well, since it's the only piece of actual evidence on offer, I'll accept it as well.

Now that just leaves the question - why in the hell would somebody make something like that up? It's not like there aren't enough things about Megan to criticize without accusing her of something she didn't do. That's just a really stupid thing to do.

but wait, aren't you ann althouse? Is this you're saying you don't know yourself? Is this a cry for help brad?

For the purposes of wanting to get with a woman who is my age, squared, no, I am not Ann Althouse.

cp, it's possible frank made an honest mistake. Because you're right - it would be a stupid thing to do intentionally.

How cheaply the revolution sells itself

I'm guessing Frank made an honest mistake. As pointed out, it's not like we need to invent things to criticise about Megan.

Meh, I don't really care. Frank is an anonymous commenter. Either he made a mistake, lied his asss of, or is a total moron. Who gives a crap? We don't ahve to defend him just because he reads our blog. We certainly have no grounds to believe one way or the other.

"Frank Rizzoo" self-identified as a woman on April 16. (See the last comment on n this here thread.).

Henceforth, "rizzoo" shall replace "wazoo" in my vocabulary.

True, nutella, but I was just trying to give him/her the benefit of the doubt.

But ultimately, who cares indeed. If it was a lie, well, it's not as if the proprietors of this blog can stop people from coming here and spouting off bullshit.

I care in the sense that I wouldn't want someone roaming around the internet telling people that I am deliberately violating the ethics of my profession (not that I work in a profession that actually has ethics). Like someone said, it could have been an honest mistake or he could just be plain dumb, but Megan doesn't deserve that.

My best guess is Rizzoo convinced herself it was true while getting piled on by Megan's sycophants for the mistake in the comments to that thread. I'm sure everyone has made the mistake in the past of clinging to an error in the face of unwelcome resistance. I once briefly convinced myself Lady Di was of royal blood while arguing with an ex and her mom.
