Who is she trying to kid?

Nutella tackled the GM post down below, but I have to add my two cents.

Yes, yes, American automakers have a lot of problems, but their labor costs are by far the biggest and least tractable ones. You can't enhance your productivity and slash costs if you have to find some way to keep tens of thousands of extra workers occupied all day.
Now, granted, she's not being so explicitly stupid as to blame the automotive industry's slow death on the Unions, who, I kinda gotta mention, aren't executives who make the decisions. But still, she's trying to say that the "biggest" problem for the industry is the sheer audacity of its employees expecting to be paid. Don't they realize there's profit to consider? If they really cared about their industry, they would give up the hard fought victories of their predecessors and accept sub living wages. Why blame the executives who fought hard against innovation for decades, who knew global warming was coming long before most of us yet refused to make their vehicles more fuel efficient, who expect the government to save them, for the sake of their employees, with huge tax breaks and bullshit like exempting SUVs from fuel efficiency regulations, and who, at least it seems to me, are putting out cars that get fewer miles to the gallon than 20 years ago? It's not like these executives have failed in every imaginable way, and, maybe, should take smaller, or no, bonuses instead of laying off and buying out folk who bear no responsibility for the situation. Shit no. Megan might have gone to school with some of those executives.
Megan, you're plain old dumb.

I will wager that the giant white elf does not grow wiser as she grows older.

Not to mention health insurance costs, due to the "profit must be made" model of health care that Megan seems to favor.
