Y'know what?

I'm starting to think our vocal fan is our pal anonymouse, trying to stir trouble. Seems someone left this comment at Atrios's place with FMM as their homepage.

I have tremendous respect for Brit Hume.

My guess is we're supposed to be annoyed by this, but it's just such a poor effort I can't get my hackles up.
Or maybe it's just a bizarre cry for attention from an internet mental case.
At any rate, remember, folks, if it links here but you don't know wtf it's talking about, it ain't us.
Anony or whoever you is, do speak up. We're hardly unwilling to engage trolls here.

It can't be anony. Why would he intentionally drive traffic here?

I'm puzzled now, though.

It could very well be the random musings of someone who doesn't give two shits about you, sir.

Sort of like...my comment?

Yeah, I wonder if it's someone with... communication issues who thinks they're doing us a favor by making people curious enough to click.
But also seems aimed at leaving a bad taste. I dunno.

norman, norman, norman.
You never answered my questions about your daughter.

Oh, Norman, stop projecting.

You guys.

Charlie Gibson does have "tremendous respect" for Brit Hume, at least that's what Wikipedia says. I believe it. And I hope it did drive traffic here. I suppose the best way to get hits is from Atrios now is to say bad things about Obama but I'd rather help you fire Megan McCardle.

Thanks for clearing it up. I genuinely didn't know if it was a good natured attempt to draw eyes our way or what.
I appreciate the enthusiasm, just... I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression. I, at least, would rather be well understood by few than misunderstood by many.
On the other hand, it ain't no thing. We were mostly just wondering about your intent, anon. Thanks for thinking we're worth promotion.
